Courses and Workshops for Children

Children’s Course

The Can-Do Kid is a series of five sessions for children ages 9 –12. Within a warm and supportive environment, your child will learn to achieve the following:

  •  Change negative self-talk to positive affirmation
  •  Move from dependency to self-reliance
  •  Increase confidence
  •  Develop social and communication skills
  •  Manage emotions appropriately
  •  Celebrate a new sense of who he/she is.

This Program was created and written by Joan Lopina, LCPC  in 1992. Since then she continues to help hundreds of children feel more capable and confident. The children have responded so positively that she needed to create more follow-up sessions. In their words “It is fun and I learn about myself!”
